In addition to treatment services, Community Outreach Services provides a safe, community-based sober living experience for adult men and women that are designed to bridge the gap from early recovery to independence. Housing has consistently been a great need for those who are in the early stages of recovery from substance abuse and addiction. Many people who are in early recovery from addiction and alcoholism experience a great deal of anxiety about where they will live due to their financial circumstances or may need time away from people/places/things that reduce their chances for recovery. At Community Outreach Services, our Transitional Housing program enables those with few references, limited budgets and poor credit a safe and affordable housing option.

For those who demonstrate a commitment to recovery from drug and/or alcohol abuse, Community Outreach Services offers Transitional Housing for 16 house members at our two homes in the Deland community, giving them the chance to embrace recovery and an opportunity to learn to live a life characterized by personal accountability, self-discipline and community responsibility as they contribute towards building a foundation for continued long-term sobriety and to being a productive, law abiding and self-sufficient individual.

House members are required to stay active in recovery programs such as 12-Step meetings and sponsorship, in-house meetings and aftercare and/or continuing treatment are strongly encouraged. House members are required to work, attend school or participate in volunteer activities in the Deland community.

House members demonstrate their commitment to recovery by living the 12-Step Principles where they live!

Recovering men and women are welcome as long as they do not drink and use, accept and meet their financial obligations, actively participate in their own recovery and follow House policies.
